English National Opera (ENO) has had to postpone plans for Monteverdi's Orfeo, following a budget cut of 29% - it has been announced.

ENO's annual funding has been reduced from £17.2million to £12.4million in the 2015/16 financial year. ENO was scheduled to stage the production in collaboration with the Bristol Old Vic in April 2015 - its first production outside of London in 15 years.

Bristol Old Vic is now looking for a new collaborator.
