As this issue of GTW went to press, Leicester’s Curve theatre was headed to the finals of the Conference & Incentive Travel (C&IT) Awards at the London Hilton, having been nominated for the Best UK Conference Venue category.
This follows the venue’s success in the Best Event Space category in the Event Awards, where they were also finalists. Both of which place the Curve on a national playing field with other finalists, including Olympia London and ExCeL London.
“I’m proud of our entire team for being named as finalists for not one but two national accolades in just over a week,” says the Curve’s Commercial Director Alister De Ternant. “We’re now successfully challenging the London events market.”
The Curve has a total capacity of 1,700 – its headline feature being its iconic 90-metre floating mezzanine, which is surrounded by five storeys of glass. The venue also boasts nine adaptable spaces, including a 902-seat auditorium with an independent 200m2 stage.
