Fresh from the West End, the critically acclaimed ‘Best New Musical of 2014’ launches a British tour for 2015
As the UK tour of hit West End musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels gets underway, it’s been announced that former Dynasty star Michael Praed will play Lawrence, Hear’Say singer Noel Sullivan will play Freddy, and Hollyoaks actress Carley Stenson will star as Christine.
Waterloo Road actor Mark Benton guest stars as Andre until 5 September, 2015. From 8 September, Gary Wilmot – who originally played the role in the West End production – takes over.
The critically acclaimed ‘Best New Musical of 2014’ ran for a year in the West End to rave reviews and was also nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Choreography. It’s based on the legendary 1988 film, and tells the story of sophisticated conman Lawrence Jameson, who clashes with larger-than-life Freddy Benson – a conman of an entirely different order.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is directed and choreographed by the Tony Award winning Jerry Mitchell. Find out more about the show, and details of its group discounts at www.scoundrelsontour.com
Booking until November, 2015.
