As part of its ongoing investment – which has seen the recent addition of two new hotels in Bridlington and Torquay to the Leisureplex Hotel Group – Alfa Leisureplex has placed a landmark order that sees Alfa Coaches take delivery of 10 new Mercedes-Benz Tourismos.
As part of a fleet replacement programme, replacing 2011 and 2012 Tourismos owned from new, the latest arrivals mark a departure from the traditional Buttermilk and blue colour scheme to more modern warm white Ivory paintwork and red upholstery, with colour-coded E-leather headrests.
Continuing the modern theme on-board, the generously equipped coaches offer all 49 passengers individual overhead service sets with air conditioning controls, provisions for hot drinks facilities and the reassurance of inbuilt Active Brake Assist (ABA 4).
The Lancashire based Alfa Leisureplex Group is the only employee owned Travel Company within the UK and has been catering for clients on coach holidays and hotel breaks for over 30 years in top seaside resorts throughout Great Britain. Expertly planned from start to finish, the operator offers passengers a range of vibrant and exciting destinations with the convenience of well-situated pick up points throughout the UK.
Exceptional customer service is guaranteed thanks to an enthusiastic team of over 700 employees, which make up the employee-owned Alfa Leisureplex Group. Within the group’s three subsidiaries includes Alfa Coaches and its 48 vehicle fleet with experienced drivers. Handling the operational side of its coach holiday packages is Alfa Travel, while Leisureplex Hotels offers a range of overnight stays at 21 superb locations.
Paul Bull, Operations Director at Alfa Coaches, says: “Since our transition to Mercedes-Benz vehicles began in 2011 we have been delighted to offer passengers superior standards in reliability, comfort and quality on all our tours. At an operational level, the adoption of OMNIplus On telematics on our latest vehicles will ensure maximum fuel efficiency and safety for all on-board."
