Tuesday 5th May

The Historic Dockyard, Chatham

Step into the heart of Chatham's legendary ship building heritage and return to the 'Age of Sail', when the Dockyard built mighty ships that won command of the world's oceans.

10.00 - Arrival with refreshments and pastries

10.30 - 1 x film location tour

11.30 - Ropery Tour

12.00 - Walk to mess deck for lunch

12.15 - Lunch

13.30 - HMS Ocelot Tour

14.00 - Drive to Leeds Castle - Approx. 27 min drive*

Leeds Castle

Visitors never forget their first btreath-taking vision of Leeds Castle in Kent, rising majestically from the moat. With it's riveting history serving six of England's medieval queens, to it's elaborate transformation into an elegant 20th century retreat by Anglo-Americal heiress, Lady Baillie, Leeds Castle's rich heritage has secured it's place as one of the most visited historic attractions in Britain.

12.45 - Choose between TWO attractions

Option One - Canterbury Cathedral - Approx. 45 minute drive

Canterbury Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of England’s oldest and most magnificent Christian structures. Founded in 597 AD, it’s famed for its stunning Gothic architecture and as the site of Archbishop Thomas Becket’s martyrdom. Visitors come to admire its beauty, history, and spiritual significance as the heart of the Anglican Church.

13.30 - Guided tour

Option Two - Port Lympne Reserve - Approx 35 minute drive

Port Lympne Reserve is a wildlife conservation park home to over 900 animals, including rare and endangered species like gorillas, giraffes, and rhinos. Set within a stunning 600-acre estate, it offers safari experiences, luxury lodges, and breathtaking views, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and families seeking adventure and conservation awareness.
