Bristol’s ‘Mile of Markets’ returns during November and December 2017, connecting the city’s handsome harbourside to Bristol Shopping Quarter.

These include Harbourside Christmas Market in its beautiful waterside setting (weekends from 25 November to 24 December), Christmas-themed markets on Corn Street (17 to 24 December) beside the award-winning St Nicholas Market whose collection of independent traders present a seven-days-a-week Indoor Market (19 December – 24 December). At Broadmead in Bristol shopping quarter a large Christmas market offering German-themed food and drink (10 November to 24 December) will be joined by Bristol’s popularlocal Christmas market (1 to 23 December), featuring local artists, craftspeople and unique Bristol gifts and produce.

Bristol Shopping Quarter is home to more than 500 stores, more than 50 cafés and restaurants and within easy reach of a range of great value hotels. Within Bristol Shopping Quarter is Cabot Circus, which will host its Christmas lights switch-on event on Friday 10 November.

Those seeking uniquely Bristol-themed gifts can head for the Tourist Information Centre on the Harbourside for cards and creations from local artists, handmade Bristol chocolates, Banksy memorabilia, guided tours and more.

In Clifton Village - one of Bristol’s most desirable areas – shoppers can peruse a treasure chest of items in the Victorian Clifton Arcade, where everything from vintage costume jewellery to classic home interiors can be found. After shopping, relax with a winter warmer at the Avon Gorge Hotel overlooking the impressive Clifton Suspension Bridge, which is beautifully lit at night. Festive events in Clifton include the Big Christmas Tree Switch-on (8 November) and Royal York Crescent Christmas Fayre (2 December) with stalls, Santa and seasonal snacks coming to this historic crescent.

Winter Wonderland comes to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway (16 November to 7 January), boasting the South West’s largest outdoor ice rink, Santa’s Enchanted Ice Castle and a Christmas train ride inside The Mall. Cribbs Causeway is a covered shopping mall and retail park to the north of Bristol city centre just a few minutes from junction 17 of the M5 and home to more than 150 stores.
