The Coach Tourism Association is heading to Cardiff for CTA Spring Networking, taking place 9-11 May, sponsored by Visit Wales and supported by
Southern Wales Tourism. Designed for coach tour operators, wholesalers, and suppliers to the coach tourism sector, CTA Spring Networking aims to create new coach tourism product and develop business.
The event is set to welcome over 100 coach tourism stakeholders to Cardiff with over 80 CTA members already signed up.
The three-day event hosted at the
Majestic Hotel Cardiff will feature familiarisation trips in and around the city, alongside networking sessions and a Supplier Showcase. The weekend will also host the organisation’s Annual General Meeting, open to all CTA members. CTA Spring Networking is a CTA member-only event, and new members are welcome to join the organisation to attend.
“Cardiff and the surrounding area holds many attractions for coach groups, so we’re delighted to host CTA Spring Networking 2026 in this historic city,” says CTA Chair, Robert Shaw. “The exciting fam trip programme, which includes new experiences we haven’t visited before, is set to expand new product for coach tour operators and wholesalers, while the networking opportunities over the weekend will enhance business development across our membership.”
For early arrivals on Saturday 9 May, a range of self-guided fam trips will take place, including
Tredegar House, complete with its mansion and gardens, as well as
Caerphilly Castle, the largest castle in Wales and recently reopened following two years of renovations. Self-guided fam trips will also be offered to
National Museum Cardiff featuring a world-class collection of art and natural history, as well as the
Museum of Cardiff that explores the city’s story and heritage.
On Sunday morning, delegates will experience a tour of
Cardiff Castle, set in the heart of the city, while in the afternoon attendees will visit
The Royal Mint Experience for a guided tour, the home of the UK’s coin production since 1968. Finally, the group will head to the 17th-century
Hensol Castle for a gin-tasting experience and tour.
On Sunday evening, there are networking opportunities with a drinks reception, a local supplier showcase, plus a dinner at the Majestic Hotel Cardiff.
The main Supplier Showcase, which will present coach tourism suppliers from across the UK, will take place on Monday morning. Concluding the event, CTA members will gather for the organisation’s AGM.
“Attending CTA events gives all members a voice, and in addition to promoting business development, the discussions help to identify solutions to shared challenges,” says Robert Shaw. “While the forecast for the coach tourism sector this year is very positive, there are challenges to address, and sharing opinions across our membership is a proven way of improving the outcome for coach operators, tour wholesalers, and suppliers to the sector.”
