With the threat of airport strikes and overseas travel disruption looming, many holidaymakers are opting to spend the summer season on domestic shores – and leading UK hotel chain Daish’s Holidays has reported a surge in late bookings for summer 2022, with a 12 per cent increase for August compared to the same period in 2021.

Paul Harper, Commercial Director at Daish’s Holidays, says: “July and August in 2021 was a record year for bookings, and this year is surpassing this. We are experiencing a spike in bookings as holidaymakers heed the warnings from industry experts concerning the strike action across Europe. We are delighted so many are looking to us as a solution to this holiday crisis and look forward to providing our visitors with a welcome respite from the travel chaos.”

Daish’s Holidays is a family-owned and operated business that acquired Robinsons Holidays in November 2020. In addition, the company acquired a fleet of 13 coaches which operate from a range of pick-up locations in the north west, including Cumbria, Cheshire and Lancashire. Five of its hotels have recently earned the TripAdvisor's 2022 Travellers Choice Award, with Bournemouth Sands Hotel and Daish’s Hotel on the Isle of Wight both claiming the title for the eighth year running.

Daish’s Holidays offers value for money holidays for families, couples and singles. Customers have the choice between coach drive or self-drive options across England and Wales. Each hotel offers day trips to local excursions and activities which can be booked at the hotel reception, and children enjoy free holidays or discounted prices depending on their age.
