This Easter holiday, families are invited to step into a world of colour, creativity and self-discovery at the UK’s largest immersive art experience, FRAMELESS, in Marble Arch, London.

Across four galleries, world-renowned artworks by artists including Monet, Van Gogh, Dalí, Canaletto and Rembrandt, are brought to life in breathtaking new ways. Using cinematic visual effects, cutting-edge digital technology and an emotive original score, FRAMELESS reimagines the world’s greatest masterpieces at an extraordinary scale, creating a powerful experience where visitors see and feel more from the art than ever before. Alongside its four permanent galleries, visitors can also discover a special programme of shared family experiences taking place throughout the holidays in its fifth gallery, Blank Canvas:

The Colour Monster

Back by popular demand, from 10 am to 4pm each day during the holidays (28th March to 12th April inclusive), families can step inside the beloved world of The Colour Monster, as Anna Llenas’ iconic picture book is transformed into a fun and emotion-filled immersive experience. Created to celebrate the National Year of Reading and marking the book’s 10th anniversary, the Experience brings the story off the page and into a fully immersive environment where emotions are expressed through colour, movement and sound. Designed for both children and adults, it offers a calm and magical space for families to slow down, connect and explore emotions together.

Using Anna Llenas’ distinctive collage-style illustrations, the Experience guides visitors through a series of beautifully crafted emotional worlds, accompanied by an emotive soundscape. Different feelings, from happiness and sadness to anger and calm, each have their colour and atmosphere, encouraging curiosity, reflection and meaningful conversation.

Sol Bound I

From 4pm, families with older children are invited to step into sweeping landscapes and natural wonders as they explore Sol Bound I, a stunning new immersive artwork by Oslo-based artist Reuko, with an original score by Welsh composer Alex Mills.

The Experience celebrates moments of calm, clarity and renewal that emerge when we are immersed in nature, transporting young adventurers through forests, coastlines, rivers and vast open landscapes from across Europe.

To create the piece, Reuko ventured into remote and often inhospitable landscapes, capturing these extraordinary natural scenes using specialist camera drones. Back in the studio, the real footage was layered with illuminating particle simulations creating luminous patterns that trace the invisible forces and energy flowing through ecosystems, weather systems, and terrain.

Art Trail for Easter

Throughout the holidays, a new online Trail will invite visitors to look closer and uncover the hidden artistic details nestled within the immersive masterpieces in the Galleries. From the creatures crawling over the melting gold pocket watch in The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dalí, to the mysterious figure lurking in the doorway in Reflections on The Thames by John Atkinson Grimshaw, families will get to explore the artworks like never before.

Entry to The Colour Monster and Sol Bound I is included with any standard FRAMELESS ticket when Blank Canvas is open to the public.
