Families are invited to get their Christmas season into gear with plenty of festive fun at the British Motor Museum. Christmas Craft weekends take place on 7 & 8, 14 & 15, 21 & 22 December when children can get creative and make a robin, snowman or Father Christmas. Once the characters are attached to pullback wheels, they can then watch them go on the racetrack. The museum’s helpful Christmas elves will also be stopping by on these weekends at 1:30pm to take families on a special festive tour.

From 7 December families can enjoy a self-guided trail to help ‘Martin the Mechanic’ get Santa’s sleigh back on the road. Children will have to search for the sleigh jigsaw pieces as they explore the museum. At the end of the trail they will be rewarded with a festive treat. Visitors can also meet the costumed explainers ‘Lady Edwards’ or ‘William, her Chauffeur’ on the Time Road and learn about the Christmas box of goodies they plan to deliver to the servants on Boxing Day.

Although the Museum is closed from 24 December - 1 January, there is more to do in the New Year. From 2 – 6 January, family activities include Lego® building, tours and meeting the costumed explainers Barry Wheeler and Maggy Dwyer at the 1970s car lot to find out about the cars on show.

All activities are included in normal Museum admission and are suitable for 3+ years with adult supervision. For more information visit www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/events/family-activities. A family ticket is just £40 for an annual pass. To find out more about the British Motor Museum please visit the website at www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk  or call 01926 641188.
