This Easter, ZSL London Zoo is partnering with Macmillan Children’s Books to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Rod Campbell’s famous book, Dear Zoo – with a new experience for the whole family to enjoy.

From 1-17 April, children will be able to embark on a self-guided adventure trail around the zoo, discovering the real life animals that inspired the nation’s favourite childhood read.

Children of all ages can follow the popular book’s characters on this fun-packed journey, collecting stamps and taking part in exciting activities at each stop – before settling down for a book reading session at the storytelling hub.

Penny Hamilton, head of marketing and events at ZSL London Zoo said: “We’re sure children and adults alike will love delving beyond the pages of Dear Zoo. Rod Campbell’s tale of a child who writes to the Zoo to send them a pet has enchanted children for over three decades – now everyone can be part of the story here at ZSL London Zoo.”
